Goals

Rehabilitate and preserve this Queen Anne style building, constructed in 1886 as the home of the Brigham family (founders of Brigham's Ice Cream); later used as Newton HIghlands Branch Library; and now used by the Hyde Community Center's after school program for middle-school students and by other community programs.

Funding

$554,950  CPA funds appropriated (historic resources), including $700 for City of Newton legal services (Only $553,101 of CPA funding actually used)
$100,000 Raised by Hyde Community Center for renovations prior to CPA funding
