Walking Tour of Olmsted's Newton Centre Playground

Landscape architect Frederick Law Olmsted laid out plans for Newton Centre Playground in 1891, putting his characteristic curved, tree-lined paths between ball fields and tennis courts. Discover how Olmsted's original vision still informs the playground, and learn how different people have used the area over the years for everything from barrel races to archery matches.
