The Jackson Homestead and Museum, located at 527 Washington Street, Newton, MA 02458, is available for rental to groups on a limited basis.
To make a reservation inquiry, please fill out an Online Reservation Inquiry Form. No reservations will be considered until a reservation form has been submitted.
This form will be used to collect information regarding your reservation inquiry so we can give you a cost estimate and accommodate your specific needs. We look forward to hosting your event and coordinating with you in the future.
The rate for use of the entire museum and grounds during non-operating hours is $200/hour. For rental of the main floor only (four rooms), the rental rate is $150/ hour. Individual rooms may also be rented. Rentals are subject to the approval of the Director of Historic Newton.
Facilities include:
First Floor Reception Room
This 18’ X 18’ room is suitable for small receptions, meetings, lectures, and gatherings. There is a six-foot table that seats eight to ten, or two joined tables that seat 16. An additional 10-12 chairs may be fit into the room. Refreshments may be served in this room.
The Edmund Jackson Room
This 15’ X 18’ room is suitable for meetings, lectures, small receptions, and gatherings. There is a six-foot table that seats eight to ten. Ten additional chairs may be fit in the room.The room can seat 15-20 people auditorium-style in folding chairs. A DVD player, television, and projection screen are available. Refreshments may be served in this room.
First Floor Galleries
Two rooms, both 15’ X 15’, are available for exhibit-viewing, small group sessions, and gatherings. (Currently one gallery is closed due to renovations.) Both rooms accommodate eight to twelve chairs. Refreshments may be served in the First Floor Galleries with approval of the Director of Historic Newton.
