Rededication of Civil War Soldiers' Monument 2014Whether prominently displayed in public spaces or tucked into parks, Newton is home to dozens of markers and monuments. Some honor citizens; others mark buildings or noteworthy events. Click on the links below to find information about monuments around the city. Susan Hinman Waldman conducted the research and took the photos for this project at the Jackson Homestead during the summer of 2009 to fulfill internship requirements for the Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study in Museum Studies at Regis College.
