Encourage students to discover new perspectives on U.S. history and explore Newton's past through hands-on activities, games, and stories. All programs are taught by professional educators and are aligned with state and national standards.

Plan Your Program

Programs can take place at the Jackson Homestead, the Durant Kenrick House and Grounds, or at your site. Virtual options are available for some programs. Programs are available Monday through Friday during and after school hours. Please email us to request a weekend date.

Programs range from 1 - 1 ½ hours. See each program listing for a specific time.

Cost

We can accommodate groups of up to 30 students at a time. Prices below reflect that structure. Groups of more than 30 students must book another program and incur another cost.

$100/session: At one of our museums

$125/session: At your school/site

$75/session: Virtual program

FREE for Newton Public Schools

Scholarships are available! If you are a Title I school and/or the fee is a deterrent to your participation in a program, please reach out to us so we can accommodate you.

Book at Program

Use this Google form to book a program. You can also email education@historicnewton.org or call 617-796-1463. Once the form is submitted, a Historic Newton staff member will reach out to you to confirm your program. Please note that submission of your reservation request does not guarantee your program is booked.
