By volunteering your services, you will be helping to support Newton's history for both present and future generations.

Durant-Kenrick Garden Days
Saturday, April 13, 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. Durant-Kenrick House & Grounds
Lend your landscaping talents to a garden that is over 200 years old! During spring volunteer days, you can help us maintain the Durant-Kenrick Gardens and our heirloom plants. Typical tasks include raking, weeding, and planting. Learn more about the historic gardens and meet fellow history and plant enthusiasts. Volunteers of all ages and skill levels welcome! Tools, gloves, and light refreshments will be provided.

NewtonSERVES: Sunday, May 5
East Parish Burying Ground, 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
West Parish Burying Ground, 1:00 - 3:00 p.m.
Interested in supporting your community while experiencing your local history? Just us during this year’s city-wide NewtonSERVES service day. Spend a spring day beautifying two of Newton’s oldest cemeteries, the East Parish Burying Ground and West Parish Burying Ground. A Historic Newton educator will also point out the resting places of some of our city’s prominent historical figures. All necessary tools will be provided.
