Please register here

HistoricalFrom 1775-1776, 105 Brattle Street in Cambridge became General George Washington’s first major headquarters of the Revolution. Join Emily Levine of Longfellow House-Washington’s Headquarters National Historic Site for a discussion of how free and enslaved Black members of Washington’s war camp interacted with one another, members of the local community and Washington himself. Longfellow House’s history is well-documented and provides a lens into intersections of the Black experience in Revolutionary America.

Registration will remain open even after the program begins. The login link will be sent from the Wellesley Free Library. Please be sure to check your spam folder in case it lands there.
