FSA Open Enrollment and Special Dental Open Enrollment

We are holding Open Enrollment for the Flexible Spending Accounts and announcing exciting changes to our dental insurance options through Blue Cross Blue Shield with a Special Open Enrollment period November 1 - 30, 2024 for benefits effective January 1, 2025.

Eligibility
• Employees who work more than 20 hours per week on a regular and recurring basis, and eligible dependents. 

Effective Date of Coverage
• Coverage is effective on your date of hire, unless you have coverage elsewhere and can show proof of coverage.  You have 30 days from this date to make your initial benefit elections.
• Premiums will be deducted retroactively back to this date, so your initial premium payment may be larger than expected.

Benefit Plan Year
• Annually July 1st to June 30th

Open Enrollment
• Coordinated by the Human Resources Department in May of each year.
• Changes taking effect July 1st

Qualifying Event (some examples of qualifying events include):
• Marriage/Divorce
• Loss or Gain of other coverage
• Birth or Adoption

You will have 30 days from the date of the qualifying event to make a change, otherwise you must wait for the next Open Enrollment period.
