In accordance with Massachusetts General Law Chapter 271 Section 7A all organizations holding a raffle or bazaar as a fundraiser must obtain a Permit to conduct a Raffle and/or Bazaar from the City of Newton.

Information

Please Note: Once submitted, applications take approximately 2 weeks to process. Please plan accordingly. Permits are valid for one year from the date of issue.

The application fee is $10.00. Checks should be payable to the City of Newton. The Clerk's Office also accepts cash or credit card.

Raffle & Bazaar applicants must complete a "Notice of Issuance of: Raffle and/or Bazaar License." This form will be processed with the application and forwarded to the Mass Lottery/Charitable Gaming Department.

EACH responsible member of the organization must complete a notarized "Declaration of Qualified Applicants" form. This is included in the Raffle & Bazaar Application Packet.
