What's a heat pump?

Heat pumps heat in the winter and cool in the summer by moving energy between your home and the outside, like an air conditioner that works both ways. Cold climate heat pumps can provide high-efficiency heating and hot water even when it’s well below zero outdoors.

There are a variety of different types of heat pumps: for use in just one or two rooms, or for a whole house, for homes with ducts and homes without.
