Having trouble connecting to available COVID-19 emergency housing assistance? Need help navigating complicated systems to get needed social services and support?

Social workers in our Newton Health & Human Services and Senior Services Department are available to provide information on housing assistance programs, food insecurity resources, and mental health and substance use referrals. They work closely with residents to assess critical concerns and develop a plan to address challenges and areas of need.

Director of Social Services Meghan Kennedy, Assistant Director Jenna Bancroft, and Case Manager Nancy Storer in Health and Human Services and Case Manager Emily Kuhl in the Senior Services Department speak with residents in person and over the phone to help with applications for financial assistance programs, food pantry referrals, housing applications, and provide information and referral to local agencies and organizations that can provide additional support.
