ACCESSING SHELTER

If you are homeless or about to be displaced, and have children in your household, call the Department of Housing and Community Development at 866-584-0653 to speak with a Homeless Coordinator.

If you are homeless or about to be displaced as a single adult, you can search for shelters. Many shelters require self-referrals. If you have questions or need additional support, please reach out to Newton Social Services at 617-796-1420.

Community Day Center of Waltham: Provides day shelter and support services to adults who are experiencing homelessness.
