Location: Newton Free Library, Druker Auditorium
Join Newton Youth services and the Newton Free Library for a four-part series exploring careers through in person discussions with professions working in the industry. Industry exploration includes STEM (February), Medical (March), The Trades (April), and Human Services (May).

Stress Survival Guide Workshop for TEENS!
Wednesday, December 14, 6:30 – 8:00 p.m.
Druker Auditorium, Newton Free Library
The City of Newton, Youth Services Division is partnership with Families for Depression Awareness, the Newton Free Library, and the Newton Youth Commission, will be hosting a “Stress Survival Guide Workshop,” for Newton teens, 13 and over. This workshop led by Families for Depression Awareness staff will teach teens how to identify symptoms of stress in themselves, their peers, and their family, identify strategies to manage day-to-day stress, as well as how to find help if things start to feel like “more than just stress.” Teens will create a survival guide of their own by utilizing a workbook tool created by FFDA!
Education Options Beyond High School
The Boston Center for Independent Living will be offering a two-day workshop series, December 28th & December 29th, titled “Education Options Beyond High School.” Students with disabilities are welcome to join in person at their Downtown Crossing Office or on Zoom. Additionally, they are also offering a workshop for parents and families, “Supporting Independent Lives,” on December 28th from 4:30-6:00 p.m. via Zoom.
