The Aquatics Division hires seasonal Lifeguards, Swim Instructors and Front Desk Staff to work at either Crystal Lake Beach or Gath Pool

Prerequisites:

All members of the aquatics division play a critical role in ensuring safety for patrons. Staff must be mature, professional, and reliable to meet the demands of the job. Staff are required to work as a part of a team to provide patrons with excellent service. Gath Pool and Crystal Lake are open 7 days a week during the summer season. We expect all staff to have flexibility and be able to work a combination of shifts including opening/closing and weekdays/weekends. 

Lifeguards: Minimum age 15, hold an American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification, Able to work mornings, nights & weekends throughout the Summer season.

Swim Instructors: Minimum age 14, passion for working with children with varied learning abilities, prior experience working with kids (preferred)

Front Desk: Minimum age 14, strong communication & computer skills, able to work directly with the general public to provide excellent customer service.

We encourage candidates to apply by April of each spring. Available positions are based on the number of vacancies each season. New staff are not permitted to work until they are fully on-boarded by Human Resources.

Lifeguard Tryouts:

Lifeguard Candidates who complete a successful interview will be invited to the annual Lifeguard Tryouts prior to the season start. All Lifeguards must be able to demonstrate competency in the Red Cross rescue skills and perform a 500 yard pool swim.

Certification Courses:

If you are not currently certified, you can complete your certification with any Red Cross approved program. Click the below link to the Red Cross website.
