Albemarle Acres is a summer day camp for children entering grades 1-5 in the Fall.  We will accept campers going into 6th grade if they have previously attended Albemarle Acres or have a younger sibling attending the same week of camp.

Albemarle Acres runs Monday through Friday from July 7 - August 15 in 2025.  Campers are signed up by week for any number of weeks they are interested in.  Standard day (8:30 - 3:30) and extended day (8:00 - 5:30) hours are offered.

Campers are grouped based on the grade they are entering in the Fall and participate in a variety of activities with their group each day including sports, arts and crafts, inside games, gym, playground, language arts activities, STEM, special events, and more.  We will take a bus to Gath Pool for swimming 2 to 3 times each week.  Campers registered for 2 or more weeks at Albemarle Acres will get a summer swim membership to Gath Pool which can be used throughout the summer. 

Construction of the new Franklin school is scheduled to begin this summer so we will have limited access to the field where construction is taking place, but we will still be able to use the school and smaller playground this summer.

Registration begins on Wednesday January 29, 2025 for Newton residents online at www.newtonmarec.com  Non residents can register starting March 1st if space is still available.
