The 2023-2024 Ice Skating Registration is open: www.newtonmarec.com

• Recreation, Figure, Hockey skills taught by professional instructors of Bay State Skating School 
• Skaters must have sharpened Figure, Hockey or Recreation Skates-NO Double Runners.
• Students own skating helmet (no rental) is mandatory for students ages 4 to 9 and highly recommended for everyone.
• Mittens/gloves encouraged.
• Students are grouped and taught according to age and ability.
• There is a 25-minute lesson and a 25-minute supervised practice.
• Skill progression: balancing, falling and getting up, glides, turns, edges, crossovers, spins, jumps and more.
• This is not a drop-off class.
• Skaters may not enter the building any sooner than 5 minutes prior to the lesson.
• Participants must bring their own water to drink.
