On June 19, 2017 the City Council approved the Special Permit/Site Plan Approval petition know as Washington Place. The approval allowed a mixed-use development incorporating residential units and commercial space. The City Council approved two iterations of the plan: a 160-unit options and a 140-unit options. The City Council approved an amended Special Permit/Site Plan Approval to adjust the configuration of the buildings in the 140-unit option on May 21, 2018 . The petition did not seek to amend the 160-unit plan. Housing Units: Below is a breakdown of the types of units that will be available when the project is complete. Of the 140 units, 21 units will be affordable to households at or below 80% AMI and 14 units will be affordable to households at or below 120% AMI.
