The Horace Cousens Industrial Fund Trustees and Director will hold an annual meeting with Rockland Trust, the current endowment holder, to determine the available distribution amount for each fiscal year. This sum, along with any additional funds allocated, will be used to support applicants according to these guidelines:

• Grants are for City of Newton, Massachusetts residents facing financial hardship.
• Grants generally do not exceed $850.
• Assistance is typically limited to once in a twelve-month period.
• Payments are made directly to vendors and creditors.
• At least two out of three trustees must approve the disbursement.

 
Guidelines may be adjusted in emergencies or exceptional cases. The trustees will consider factors such as the applicant's assets, financial situation, and available resources when determining grant amounts.
