Celebrating 25 years! Saturday, October 26, 2024

REGISTERED PARTICIPANTS CLICK HERE TO FIND YOUR WINDOW ASSIGNMENT!

This event is open to Newton students in Grades 3-8 (under adult supervision). Each artist is assigned a space on the outside of a participating merchant's window on which to paint their masterpiece. The subject matter can be anything with a Halloween theme—jack o’ lanterns, ghosts, goblins, witches, owls, black cats or whatever painters imagine!  Please note:  nothing too scary or gory as we don't want to scare any passersby!

There are seven participating Newton villages this year: Auburndale, Newton Centre, Newton Highlands, Newtonville, Nonantum, Waban, and West Newton. Sign up early to secure a spot in your preferred village. If there are no longer spaces available there, sign up for the wait list or register for an alternative village.

Halloween Window Painting is a beloved tradition in Newton; it provides a safe, fun opportunity for Newton students to celebrate Halloween and express their artistic side along with friends and family. With the financial support of this years Great Pumpkin Sponsor;  Newton Community Pride, we are happy to throw a Costume and Cupcake Party at Newton City Hall for all registered painters after the event on Saturday October 26th from 4:30pm - 5:30pm.  We will enjoy a costume parade, DJ music, a fun fall photo station and a complimentary cupcake for each youth artist.

To all registered participants please be sure you have read the rules and guidelines prior to the event. See you Saturday and HAVE FUN!
